I opted to keep the full flight credit, so I had $701 towards an American Airlines flight on my Costco Travel account (if I took the refund I’d have only gotten $301 in cash back). Overall, it's definitely worth it to travel through Costco! It's nice that you get to keep the full credit, but also sucks a bit because you're restricted to Costco packages and can't book a flight by itself since they only offer flights as part of packages.Ĭostco Travel reps are amazing, though, and I have yet to interact with one who wasn't extremely kind and helpful. The flight credit is only eligible through Costco Travel, for the airline you originally booked on, to be used or lost by the original date of purchase. Just today I cancelled a flight/hotel package I had booked for Denver, and I had to choose between leaving the flight cost as a credit on my account or getting back the full package amount minus $400 ($200 per person). One thing I will say about traveling through Costco, though, is that cancelling can be somewhat tricky. Just in this Case it’s usually for a lower price.Ĭostco has fantastic rates and packages! My family of 3 took a trip to Hawaii in 2019 - $6000 for a a week in Maui including lodging, airfare, seat upgrades, rental car, ocean-view room, $500 resort food credit, and $100 resort activity credit. I will always at least check Costco before booking a trip because savings aside knowing that they have my back if shit goes south would be worth a premium. I’ve since booked several flights, car rentals, and vacations through Costco. A few days later all charges have been refunded, and outside of submitting the case I didn’t lift a finger. My boy Todd is gonna take them to task and leverage that Costco relationship. Todd collects any documents/receipts that I have and takes down my version of events.

I rented a car through Costco travel with Budget and despite me saying several times that I didn’t want insurance when picking up the keys, the dude slipped it on there and I signed.
